Connections believes every person has a right to community.
Every community is made stronger by inclusion.
We are a helping hand bringing everyone inside, bringing everyone home.
Connections for the Homeless is a non-profit organization that helps individuals and families that are homeless or threatened with homelessness. Through a wide spectrum of services, we meet people where they are in the spectrum of homelessness. The ultimate goal for every person we serve is to help them reach the highest level of self-sufficiency possible.
We began as a local movement when a small group of community members demanded something be done for the growing
population of homeless in Evanston, IL. What started out as an over-night shelter has transformed into a multi-service agency with education, employment, health, and housing programs.
All our services operate on a Trama-Informed method because after 30 years of serving homeless and near-homeless population, we've learned nearly all those affected by homelessness are victim of trauma in one form or another.
Today, Connections helps more than 1,000 individuals and families each year with the help over 5,000 supporters and volunteers.
