Connections helps families keep their housing

354 individuals and families received financial assistance through Connections for the Homeless between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2007.  A survey conducted during December 2007 and January 2008 revealed that 92% of these 354 family units were still housed.  Financial assistance with rent or mortgage payments, security deposits, and utility payments had been provided.  These prevention funds come from the State of Illinois with the goal of keeping people housed, thereby preventing homelessness.
