Hospitality Center

In addition to Entry Point’s own drop-in hours, the program works closely with the Interfaith Action Council’s Hospitality Center which offers its own morning drop-in Monday thru Friday from 7 to 11 a.m. The Hospitality Center is located at 1509 Ridge Ave (Ridge Ave. & Grove St.) in St. Mark’s Church. Referral to the Hospitality Center from an EntryPoint case manager is required. Once a participant has been referred from Entry Point, participants are eligible to meet with the employment counselors at the Hospitality Center.  Employment counselors help participants draft or update resumes, search for jobs and provide transit passes to help individuals get to interviews. Counselors will also assist individuals in setting up their own voicemail account.

The Interfaith Action Council also sponsors with area churches and synagogues six soup kitchens which provide nutritious meals most afternoons or evenings of the week.  During the cold months, they sponsor afternoon warming centers.

For more information about the Hospitality Center, call 847-869-0370.

EntryPoint has proven to be a valuable resource not only for the Evanston Police Department but also for local business and social agencies that come into contact with homeless people. During the past 5 years, EntryPoint staff have served over 1,250 individuals and families and have linked them with the services necessary to regain control over their lives.

For many, EntryPoint is where health and recovery begin.
