Connections' Employment Program helps clients to prepare for employment.  But our program doesn't stop there... our Job Readiness Training is creating a ready pool of job candidates for local businesses, and our hands-on, intensive case management methodology ensures that job placements are good both for our clients and for employers.

Where and When to Make Donations

All donations should be delivered to:

(Week days between 9 a.m. and noon, between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., or by appointment.)

Conduct a Drive

If you would like to conduct a donation drive, please contact Connections’ Volunteer Coordinator at 847-424-0945, x11.


Our Current Needs

  • Gift certificates (Food 4 Less, Aldi, Target)
  • CTA day passes
  • Clothing for men and women - appropriate for appointments and job interviews
  • Non-perishable food items especially items with protein
    • Canned meat or fish, ravioli, stews, etc.
    • Macaroni and cheese
    • Peanut butter & jelly
  • Underwear (including long underwear) and socks for women and men
  • Toiletries: deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, nail clippers, shampoo, conditioner, razors, shaving cream, etc.
  • Gloves, hats and scarves
  • Combs and brushes
  • Disposable diapers
  • Coats
  • Household cleaning items
  • Over-the-counter health care items (aspirin, band-aids, decongestants, etc.)
  • Back-packs
  • Boots
