Here’s to the Future without Homelessness

Over 260 individuals enjoyed an evening of dinner, dancing, and a silent auction which netted $70,000 for agency programs.  Highlights included a video welcome by Senator Richard Durbin and awards to Beth Emet the Free Synagogue and The Emergency Fund for their ongoing and generous commitment to the work of Connections for the Homeless.

Community Partner of the Year:  Beth Emet the Free Synagogue

Beth Emet the Free Synagogue was honored as Community Partner of the Year for their support of Connections for the Homeless for nearly two decades through financial gifts, hundreds of volunteer hours, and a pilot mentoring program for parents in the Family Transitional Housing program.

Mrs. Elaine Knobel and Rabbi Peter S. Knobel, Beth Emet’s spiritual leader, accepted the Community Partner of the Year award.

Visionary Partner of the Year: The Emergency Fund
The Emergency Fund has assisted Connections for the Homeless in bringing positive change to the lives of nearly a thousand people in the past three years. The Fund's commitment to the community and dedication to the men, women, and children Connections serves is genuine and admirable.
