Our Results
2010 Results
- Prevention:
In 2010, we prevented 150 families (comprising close to 450 individuals) from losing their homes to foreclosure or eviction and thus becoming homeless.
- Housing:
In 2010, we found housing for over 100 individuals and 15 families who were homeless or living in unstable and untenable living arrangements.
- Employment:
In 2010, we found jobs for more than 30 people who were homeless or facing the loss of their homes.
- Health:
In 2010, we reduced emergency room visits among our clients by 90% by providing basic health care services. 100% of the clients at Hilda's Place were assessed for acute, chronic and mental health concerns by the nurse or case manager.
So Far This Year:
- Provided 100 people with transitional shelter at Hilda's Place. We also placed 75 homeless individuals into housing.
- Provided medical care to 43 people.
- Kept over 150 people from losing their homes--including 35 children.
- Provided basic needs like clothing, showers, and laundry to more than 350 people in our EntryPoint drop-in program.
- Housed 25 families (with more than 30 children) as the parents stabilized their health and incomes and the children grew re-accustomed to a routine life of school, play and security.
